• 08:00–09:30 | Leaving the city behind

Departure from Athens. The city slowly fades as the route heads toward the Peloponnese.

• 09:30–11:30 | Corinth: ancient power and engineering wonder

First stop at the Corinth Canal, where visitors witness the dramatic cut between mainland Greece and the Peloponnese, a striking blend of nature and human ambition. The contrast between the natural rock formations and human engineering is clearly visible, making this one of the most visually striking stops of the day. Alternatively, at Ancient Corinth, guests will see the remains of an important ancient city spread across an open archaeological area. Visible ruins include temple foundations, stone columns, paved paths, and remnants of public buildings. The site offers views toward the Acrocorinth hill rising in the background. In the nearby village, guests will see small shops with local products, traditional cafés, and quiet streets reflecting the area’s long historical continuity.

• 11:30–12:30 | Toward the coast

Departure from Corinth and drive toward Nafplio. Agricultural land remains prominent, with olive groves and fields, but the terrain becomes softer and more open. As the route approaches the coast, the sea begins to appear intermittently on the horizon. Light reflects differently off the land and water, and coastal vegetation becomes more noticeable, signaling the shift from inland history to seaside scenery.

• 12:30–14:00 | Nafplio – Old Town exploration

Stroll through one of Greece’s most charming towns. Narrow alleys, neoclassical buildings, lively squares, and waterfront cafés create an atmosphere that feels relaxed but refined. This is a town meant to be walked, not rushed.

• 14:00–15:00 | Lunch with a local touch

Lunch at a local restaurant, enjoying Greek flavors in a setting that blends tradition with coastal calm. A natural pause before the afternoon slows down even further.

• 15:00–16:00 | Seaside calm or castle views

By the sea, guests will see the waterfront promenade, open views across the Argolic Gulf, and the town’s natural connection to the water. Cafés line the shore, and the pace is slow and unstructured. Alternatively, at Palamidi Castle, guests will see a large hilltop fortress reached by road or steps. From the upper levels, panoramic views extend over Nafplio, the Argolic Gulf, and the surrounding coastline. The fortifications, stone walls, and elevated position clearly show the strategic importance of the site.

• 16:00–17:30 | The way back
