05:00 to 20:00 in Las Palmas — the old quarter of Vegueta, Las Canteras beach and the dunes of Maspalomas further south.

Funchal, Madeira

14:00 to 22:00 in Funchal, with the cable car up to Monte, the flower market and a glass of Madeira wine.
